My first book, BLEED: Destroying Myths and Misogyny in Endometriosis Care (ECW Press, 2023), is a bestselling non-fiction book on endometriosis, medical gaslighting and discrimination. I am currently preparing book proposals for several new books.

Carleton University

I teach undergraduate courses in the journalism and communication department at Carleton University in Ottawa. In fall 2022, I taught Digital Journalism Toolkit, a second-year course introducing students to WordPress, Photoshop, Audition, data viz and other digital platforms.

I love writing about cities, transportation, urbanism, technology and business. But I'm also a jack of all trades and love wrapping my mind around new and interesting ideas. I replaced AP's Canada bureau chief when he went on vacation. Work was primarily centered on covering breaking and developing news. I also worked as a freelance AP stringer in Ottawa and Montreal.

I wrote, edited and published more than 1,000 news stories for CBC in Montreal. Coverage included Lac-Mégantic train disaster, elections (municipal, provincial, federal), Quebec far-right and identity politics, cannabis legalization, gun registry, domestic terrorism, fentanyl and more. I translated dozens of French Radio-Canada stories, including complicated legal ones, for the CBC English site.
